European Social Label Driving Social Integration and Economic Impact Across Sweden and Europe
Care to Change the World
European Social Label an introduction
Care to Change the World
At EUSL, we believe that social integration, economic growth, and inclusivity are the foundations of a prosperous society. As a forward-thinking organization with both non-profit and idea-driven perspectives, we are committed to advancing Europe’s integration challenges through innovative solutions. EUSL is driving social integration and economic impact acress Sweden and Europe. Whether your interest lies in fostering an inclusive community or expanding profitable ventures, our “Charity as a Business” (CaaB) model provides a pathway that enables both.
The primary mission of European Social Label is to reduce social exclusion at local, regional, national, and EU levels. Together with the private sector, we work to address the challenges in integration that have yet to be fully resolved. Our journey begins here in Sweden, with the goal of expanding across Europe.
Currently, there is a gap between public authorities and small businesses, with each often operating on separate wavelengths. EUSL aims to bridge this divide, making it attractive and profitable for small businesses in Sweden and Europe to contribute to a more inclusive society—not only within their workplaces but also in their communities. Positioned between government agencies and small enterprises, EUSL advocates for a model where supporting those facing social exclusion can be financially rewarding for businesses, without distorting fair market competition.
At EUSL, we take a holistic approach to integration and social inclusion. For us, social exclusion is defined as an individual over 15 years old without employment or educational activity for at least 30 days. Our organization remains politically neutral while championing equality for all. Our goal is to build a new, inclusive, and equitable society, driven by technology and small businesses, where everyone has the opportunity to participate and contribute to the best of their ability.”
Our goal A New Ecosystem for a New Society
Care to Change the World
Today’s society is built on a structure that, while functional, is undeniably aging and in need of renewal. Although the current system continues to serve its purpose, technological advancements and shifting values have moved beyond its original design. This is where European Social Label (EUSL) steps in—introducing a new ecosystem that operates independently of tax funding, with a dual role of supporting and challenging the existing framework. It is through constructive competition that innovation is fostered and progress is accelerated.
EUSL is composed of various entities and organizational forms, united by a commitment to inclusivity and equality. By championing these principles, we open pathways to employment and create value for businesses, helping them attract both new employees and a diverse customer base. The result is an inclusive society fit for tomorrow—a vision that remains politically neutral and transcends traditional left-right divisions. This is our approach to addressing integration challenges in Sweden and Europe, advancing toward a society where opportunity and equality are foundational pillars for all.
Our Mission Creating Social inclusion in local societies
Care to Change the World
The mission of European Social Label (EUSL) is to redefine social inclusion and integration by partnering directly with the private sector to create scalable, sustainable solutions. We work to bridge gaps between businesses, communities, and individuals, fostering a society where inclusivity and equality become central values.
Through our model, Charity as a Business (CaaB), we integrate social responsibility with economic growth, encouraging small and medium enterprises to address integration challenges in a way that is both profitable and socially impactful. This approach leverages the innovation and ambition of the private sector, creating opportunities that extend beyond government support.
Our mission is to build a Europe where businesses are active participants in societal development, shaping a future where each individual can contribute to and benefit from an inclusive, thriving society. By transforming how we address exclusion, EUSL aims to create a sustainable path forward for Sweden and Europe alike.
Our Vision Changing the world as we see it for a lot of people
Care to Change the World
Our vision is to establish a new, holistic approach to social integration, one that removes the outdated notion that welfare must come solely from taxation or be viewed as a societal cost. At EUSL, we believe in the power of social inclusion as a driver of both societal growth and economic value, where integrating people is not only sustainable but beneficial to all involved.
Through our model, we’re setting a precedent for how integration can be realized in partnership with the private sector, demonstrating that it is possible to create impactful, financially viable solutions that do not depend exclusively on government funding.
Our vision centers on a society where everyone can contribute and participate up to their full potential. We seek to build a future where businesses, communities, and individuals come together to cultivate an inclusive ecosystem that strengthens the economy and builds social cohesion. In this vision, integration becomes a shared value that connects us all, reinforcing the belief that social responsibility and profitability can—and should—work hand in hand for a more inclusive and dynamic Europe.
Charity as a Business The conceptual idea of EUSL
Care to Change the World
The “Charity as a Business” (CaaB) model is the cornerstone of EUSL’s mission, offering a transformative approach that redefines the way we engage with social challenges. Rather than treating charity as a one-way street of giving, CaaB reframes it as a strategic opportunity—one that combines business principles with charitable goals to create lasting, scalable impact.
What is CaaB?
CaaB is an innovative model that merges social responsibility with financial sustainability. It is designed for organizations that wish to make a difference but also recognize the importance of economic viability in achieving long-term impact. CaaB allows members of EUSL to engage in charitable initiatives that not only contribute to a more inclusive and equitable Europe but also generate opportunities for growth, partnership, and value creation.
Why Choose CaaB?
For organizations seeking to make a difference, CaaB offers a structured, results-driven approach that goes beyond traditional corporate social responsibility. It’s a way to integrate charity directly into the fabric of business, aligning profit motives with social good. This model is ideal for companies that want to engage in meaningful change without compromising their business goals.
A Path Forward
CaaB empowers our members to become changemakers who combine purpose with profit. Together, we’re building a Europe where charitable initiatives are sustainable, impactful, and an integral part of the business landscape. As EUSL continues to grow, CaaB remains central to our vision of a future where social responsibility and economic progress go hand in hand.
Care to Change the World
How It Works
-
Defining Clear Social Objectives: Every CaaB initiative begins with a clear social mission—whether it’s supporting local communities, promoting educational opportunities, or tackling economic exclusion. These objectives are aligned with both EUSL’s values and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
-
Incorporating Business Principles: EUSL provides guidance on applying business strategies—such as operational efficiency, financial planning, and impact measurement—to ensure that charitable initiatives are as effective as possible. This not only maximizes their reach but also enhances the value they bring to society.
-
Creating Mutual Benefits: The CaaB model is built on the concept of shared value. As our members engage in socially-driven projects, they also gain benefits such as brand reputation, market differentiation, and expanded networks. This approach allows businesses to support society while enhancing their own growth and sustainability.
-
Building Partnerships for Greater Impact: Through CaaB, EUSL members join a federation that fosters collaboration among private enterprises, educational institutions, and non-profits. These partnerships amplify the impact of charitable efforts, leveraging collective resources to address challenges on a larger scale.
-
Ensuring Transparency and Accountability: To build trust and achieve sustainable outcomes, CaaB emphasizes transparent processes and measurable outcomes. By providing regular reports and impact assessments, our members demonstrate their commitment to both social and financial responsibility.
The Six Divisions of EUSL A holistic approach on exclusion
European Social Label (EUSL) operates through six core divisions, each contributing to our holistic approach to social integration. While these six divisions serve as our primary areas of focus, EUSL’s structure is designed to adapt and expand, encompassing all industries where businesses are active and even venturing into new sectors to create solutions where they’re most needed.
Our divisions reflect our mission to be present wherever companies operate and aspire to make a difference—whether they aim to increase profitability, support social causes, or achieve both. By establishing a presence across diverse fields, EUSL provides businesses with opportunities to improve their bottom line while actively participating in building a healthier society and empowered communities. Our divisions ultimately aim to foster a thriving society where people and businesses alike can reach their potential.”
World Social Label A Global Framework for Local Impact
Care to Change the World
European Social Label (EUSL) is one of four key divisions, or “cabinet offices,” under the World Social Label (WOSL) framework. Each division within WOSL serves distinct regions and communities, recognizing that a single approach to integration and inclusion cannot be applied uniformly across diverse localities. EUSL, the original and central division, drives the mission forward with innovative models and strategies, and it remains the core engine supporting our entire network.
World Social Label’s primary role is to share evidence-based knowledge and insights across all divisions, ensuring that each cabinet can adapt and apply these principles as best suits its specific environment. The European Union alone encompasses 27 countries, including Sweden, which is further divided into 21 market regions following regional boundaries. Globally, WOSL adopts a similar approach, dividing regions according to demographic, economic, and social characteristics to ensure that each area receives the solutions most suited to its unique challenges.
By taking a holistic approach to social integration, World Social Label empowers each division to emphasize different aspects of our mission based on local needs, fostering impactful integration strategies that adapt to the shifting demands of societies across Europe and beyond.

EUSL Foundation
Empowering Change Through Member Collaboration
At the heart of our mission lies the EUSL Foundation, which serves as the spearhead of our membership organization and embodies the principles of our Charity as a Business model. This innovative foundation is designed to channel surplus resources generated by EUSL back into the community, with a focus on initiatives that our members decide upon under the framework known as Social Impact in Society.
What sets the EUSL Foundation apart is its unique governance structure. Clearly outlined in our bylaws, it is not the foundation that controls the direction of our initiatives; rather, it is the members of EUSL who steer the foundation’s purpose and projects. This member-centric approach ensures that the foundation’s efforts are aligned with the needs and aspirations of the community we serve.
Through the EUSL Foundation, we implement impactful social initiatives that not only enhance the welfare of society but also create tangible benefits for our members. By marketing these initiatives back to our members, we drive traffic and revenue directly to their businesses. As they expand their market share and attract new customers, they generate increased revenue, which in turn fuels further contributions to the foundation’s projects.
This symbiotic relationship ultimately fosters a healthier, more inclusive society while also facilitating the growth and sustainability of our members’ enterprises. In this way, EUSL demonstrates how the Charity as a Business model creates a win-win scenario: stronger businesses lead to a better community, and a thriving community draws more members into the EUSL network.
